A3-size, spiral bounding. 32 pages of collages on plastic tracing
film
The idea for this book is to show the similarity between dull architecture
and boring bureaucratic forms and letterheads etc. The forms have
been filled up by drawing windows and other architectural details
into the tables, so that each form represents a building. The collages
have been pasted on the half-transparent tracing film to create the
feeling and perspective of a city shrouded in smog. The book is based
on Russian forms from different periods and the city image created
in the book is definitely Russian. Finnish, German and English “boring
books” will follow. I would be happy to receive any empty forms and
tables you might come across.
