My installation is based on two texts by Tove Jansson: Moominland Midwinter and The Fir Tree. The Moomins don’t know much about winter, and have no idea about Christmas, too. But they prepare for it on their own. That’s why the fir-tree is decorated in a crazy way, strange creatures bring their gifts to the Moomin Valley, candles are lit all around the landscape, and the jam cellar can be emptied… With the help of augmented reality, visitor’s own mobile phone becomes a magic lantern, capable to bring images of creatures on the walls to life: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/MsIRoqEZquM
