National Geographic TV Channel and The National Museum of Finland present artist Alexander Reichstein’s work Eruption in the museum’s Log Yard. The work constructed out of plastic waste spreads out of National Geographic’s glowing yellow frame. The work portrays a possible future, where garbage evolves into awkward creatures and takes over. In front of the work, we may consider our own use of plastic and ways in which we can make a change.

Eruption is part of Lux Helsinki festival’s valohaaste light challenge.
